Santoku White Ceramic Blade
White blade, length 12 cm = 4¾"
Knives with white and black ceramic blades, made of advanced, high-tech ceramic powder called Zirconia, a chemically inert and extremely hard material. Ceramic powder is transformed into blades with cold forming at high pressures and through the sintering process at temperatures in excess of 1000 °C. Then the blade is grinded and sharpened with diamond wheels, to create the edge and the final shape before attaching the ABS handles: the result are blades that maintains their sharpness longer than any metal blade.
Why using a ceramic blade knife?
• it doesn’t transmit smells, keeps original food color and taste!
• the inert material grants no rust and no chemical reactions with the food;
• extremely sharp blade, easy to use and clean;
• its lightness is optimal for prolonged use;
How to use Ceramic blades: Your ceramic knife works best for slicing boneless meats, fruits and vegetables. Use with a plastic or wood cutting board. Avoid cutting on marble or stone or inappropriate surfaces like plates or kitchen tiles. Any knife is at risk of damage if dropped or misused: you can break the point if the knife lands on it, you can chip the edge if you cut into bones and you can break off the edge and the point if you use them to pry. We recommend not to put the ceramic knives in a dishwasher to avoid violent motion against other hard objects: we suggest to clean them with water and liquid dish detergent.
